Alhamdu Li Allah, Eidee money was distributed to the sponsored orphans (Syrian, Palestinian and Jordanians) . 3000 orphans benefited in four clusters (Amman, Jerash, Almafraq and Erbid). Supervisors shared the Eid happiness with the students, play entertainment games with them and had snack food together. An atmosphere of Joy prevailed the activity as the orphans
“Helping Hand” organized a number of cultural lessons for the mothers of orphans in several regions on the subject of investing the rest of Ramadan and promoting family concepts & “Ibadaat”.During these lessons, “Ramadan” magazine was distributed and “Ramadan” annual competition context answers collected. Additionally new Quran memorization competition was announced.
Within the activities of Orphans Support Program in Ramadan, several Iftar feasts were held in (Jerash, Irbid and Almafraq) governorates to our students which included moral awareness lessons about the last 10 days of Ramadan as well as entertainment segments and useful competitions. Gifts were distributed to students.
Within the activities of Ramadan, the third Quran memorization competition was held (memorizing Luqman & Yousuf Surat). Orphans, males and females, participated in this competition as well as their mothers. Winning competitors were honored.
On the occasion of World Refugee Day, Helping Hand held an activity to the Syrian orphans in Jerash. The Day includes entertainment segments. Snack food distributed to participants who were very happy of this activity.
HHRD organized a sports tournament for the students at the “Princess Basma Center Stadium”. The students expressed their happiness for holding such sports activities that occupy their spare time in what is useful. At the end of the league, Medals & the trophy were handled to the winning team.
Within the follow up for academic and behavior and in order to build good bond with our sponsored orphans, the OSP team made visits to several students in their schools during which a form was filled about the educational level and progress of the student.
In continuation of the weekly lessons of the orphans in all governorates, a cultural program was organized which includes several segments aiming to raise the moral and ethical side of the orphan and recognize positive thinking to build balanced character. Activities made based on program prepared in advance.
The Orphans Support Program team of “Helping Hand” made home visits to our sponsored orphans to check on their living and behavior conditions to increase the bond between them and their supervisors. During the visit, the supervisors met the orphans’ mothers and fill the questionnaire form about the ethical and behavior of student at home.
