Within the Shelter Relief program, Helping Hand for Relief and Development, in cooperation with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, provided 40 Micro homes to the Za’tari camp for Syrian refugees to be delivered to the Syrian families inside the camp to improving their living conditions, especially as the winter approaches.
Today Monday 30/07/2018 the participants of Youth for Jordan 2018 project (24 youth) arrived Amman headed by youth manager Br. Mazhar Qasem. The trip will last for 7 days and they will participate in several relief and developmental programs and projects and they will also visit historical places and work with the orphans summer club.
The Orphans Support Program team followed up the orphanage building sponsored by Helping Hand during which monthly building rental was paid and financial monthly support were distributed to the families. Among the seasonal projects, HHRD implemented Ramadan Fitra Food Parcels Distribution Project that benefited families as follows: 424 (Distributed in Irbid to Syrian and Palestinian families) 229 (Distributed in Jerash to Syrian and Palestinian families) 245 (Distributed in Almafraq to Syrian families)
As per the agreement signed between HHRD and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, (Production Kitchen), the first phase of project consisting 5000 meals were distributed to local needy families and individuals in Jordan in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and local charities. Since the beginning of Ramadan this year HHRD MENA, and for the fourth year in a row, is implementing Ramadan tent project in which 400 individuals from different Syrian and Palestinian families attend daily and join the activities. On behalf of HHRD, Khaled Alzayed, programs manager, signed an agreement with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization for the supply of ten thousand Ramadan Iftar meals which will be distributed during Ramadan to the refugees and needy in different areas in Jordan. The meals will be prepared in the productive kitchen “Arzaaq” related to JHCO.
Within the regular cultural follow up of the orphans’ mothers, a monthly meeting was held to them which included awareness by supervisors about the importance of family bonds and mother/child relationship in addition to several entertainment segments. The meeting stressed the important role of mother of raising the child properly.
On the occasion of the labor’s day, HHRD organized a honoring ceremony for some cleaning workers in the municipality of Jerash. The team helped them in cleaning the public gardens, provided them appreciation certificates and shared food with them.
