HHRD team responded to emergency relief need of floods affected Syrian, Palestinian and Local Jordanian families in Al-Mafraq, Amman and Al-Tunaib Camp and distributed to them blankets, mattress, bread and food parcels. 610 individual benefited from this relief aid.
“Helping Hand” scouts team attended the Scouts meeting held in the “Jordanian Association for Boy Scouts and Girl Guides” premises. During the meeting discussions were made in order to exchange modern ideas and methods about developing the Jordanian Scouts work.

HHRD continues for the third month in row providing Syrian refugee families with potable water. The project is implemented by transporting water into the areas where they live in order to meet their requirements as they suffer from reaching healthy water sources because they live in remote areas by the Jordanian Syrian Boarders. As part of the Orphans Support Program healthcare plan of our sponsored orphans our team visited a sick orphan in Amman after he finished treatment in the hospital. His treatment cost 1400 US$ was covered fully by the insurance company within the Health Insurance contract for our orphans.
Within the series of continuous meetings with orphan’s mothers, the Orphans Support Program team held a lecture entitled “The Women’s Status in Islam”. Discussions were made on modern ways of rising children and the mother’s role teaching them good manners and “Tarbiya” to help them develop their life skills.
In order to plant respect for parents in the souls of our sponsored orphans, the OSP team organized a celebration on the occasion of the ‘Mother’s Day’ to honor the mothers of the orphans. The celebration included several segments prepared by the orphans as gesture of appreciation for their mothers.
The Orphans Support Program team made home visits to our sponsored orphans to check on their living and behavior condition as well as to know their personal requirement. Also visits aim to increase the bond between them and their supervisors. During the visit, some gifts were presented to the orphans and their mothers.
Within the permanent club activities for our sponsored orphans in Amman, Almafraq, Irbid, and Jerash, several cultural lessons were made on morals, ethics, building a successful personality and Quran Memorization. Additionally, multiple activities were made aiming to psycho-support and character building of orphans combining bother learning and entertainment for orphans.
