Under initiative in title (We Can), the Orphans Support Program held a one day camp for some of our sponsored orphans. The camp includes several activities aiming to raise the morals, psychological and educational level of the orphans via implementing artistic, scouts segments & mind games. The camp was concluded by showing a movie which
HHRD team responded to emergency relief need of floods affected Syrian families in “Alwaleh/Zeiban” area and “Umm Alrasas” area and distributed to them blankets and food parcels. 175 individual benefited from this relief aid.
The Education Support Program social worker made a follow up visit to the private schools Irbid and Almafraq. HHRD sponsors 100 students in a private school in Irbid and 300 students in a private school in Almafraq.
The Education Support Program started tuitions lessons in math and English language for a number of students in Amman and Jerash. These lessons aim to help the students prepare for the first semester exam which will start in December 2018.
The Ministry of Social Development held a meeting with the foreign NGO’s representatives in Jordan. The meeting was attended on behalf of Helping Hand by Mr. Khaled Alzayed /Programs Manager/. Discussions were made on means of reciprocal cooperation in charity and emergency relief in harsh winter. It has been agreed to create a Relief Committee.
The Food Support Program of Helping Hand distributed the fourth quarter portion of 2018 food parcels to the Syrian Refugee families who live in camps in Al-Tunaib area, South Amman. Sweets were distributed to children who were very happy especially in memory of “Al-Mawlid Alnabawi”. Families thanked the generous donors of Helping Hand for this
The In-Kind Gifts Program distributed the clothes, hygiene kits, and school stationery container which was sent from “Utah“ to Syrian refugees and needy Lebanese in Akkar, Irsal, & Mount Lebanon. 47.989 people benefited from these aids.
