As per the Food Support Program plan for Lebanon, Helping Hand distributed 1250 food baskets to the Syrian Refugee families in Irsaal area. The food basket include fresh vegetables and fruits. This distribution contribute to lessen the suffering of the families who were very thankful and prayed to Allah to reward the donors.
“Helping Hand” food support program team completed distributing the third quarter quantity which included 400 food parcels. Distribution was made in Amman to refugee families. Contents of each food parcel include food items that satisfy family feeds for 15 days. Families were very happy and express their appreciation to the generous donors.
The Orphans Support Program team followed up the orphanage building sponsored by Helping Hand during which monthly building rental was paid and financial support were distributed on the families. As part of the cultural follow-up of the orphans’ mothers, the weekly meeting was held with a lecture entitled “Hijraa”. The meeting included many moral lessons inspired from this great event. The mothers interacted greatly with the memory of “Hijraa”.
Within the overall support provided to our sponsored orphans, the Orphans Support Program team made home visits to check on the educational status and health of our sponsored orphans. During the visits, our social workers met with mothers and discuss positive aspects and problems faced by students and methods of finding solutions to them.
The Orphans Support Program, and within the continuous care provided, continued the permanent students’ club after concluding the summer camp & school summer holiday. The permanent club includes weekly lessons with special attention on morals, Quran Memorization & Hadeeth. Lessons cover all clusters (Amman, Jerash, Irbid and Almafraq). As per the plan of the Orphans Support Program, a week of activities celebrating “Hijraa” occasions was organized and included lectures, lessons and competitions on the great Hijraa event for both the students and their mothers in Amman, Almafraq, Irbid and Jerash. The students participated and painted some drawings about the important “Hijra” event.
The Education Support Program distributed the 3rd quarter sponsorship allowance to the families beneficiary students in Amman and Jerash (200 in Amman and 100 in Jerash) who study in public schools.
