HHRD launched a project of distributing “Ramadan” food parcels to the Pakistani families who live in Jordan, especially in Alghoore area which is the poorest in Jordan. 390 Food parcels distributed among this project to Pakistani families who thanked the generous donors of HHRD.
Among the seasonal projects, HHRD implemented Ramadan Fitra Food Parcels Distribution Project that benefited families as follows: 424 (Distributed in Irbid to Syrian and Palestinian families) 229 (Distributed in Jerash to Syrian and Palestinian families) 245 (Distributed in Almafraq to Syrian families)
As per the agreement signed between HHRD and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, (Production Kitchen), the first phase of project consisting 5000 meals were distributed to local needy families and individuals in Jordan in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and local charities. Since the beginning of Ramadan this year HHRD MENA, and for the fourth year in a row, is implementing Ramadan tent project in which 400 individuals from different Syrian and Palestinian families attend daily and join the activities. On behalf of HHRD, Khaled Alzayed, programs manager, signed an agreement with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization for the supply of ten thousand Ramadan Iftar meals which will be distributed during Ramadan to the refugees and needy in different areas in Jordan. The meals will be prepared in the productive kitchen “Arzaaq” related to JHCO.
In-Kind Gifts Program distributed a container from Illinois which contains Food Packages & Clothes among Syrian, and needy Jordanian families in Amman (Ramadan Tent) & Al-Karak. 26,021 Individual beneficiaries benefited from this container.
HHRD organized a sports tournament for the students at the “Princess Basma Center Stadium”. The students expressed their happiness for holding such sports activities that occupy their spare time in what is useful. At the end of the league, Medals & the trophy were handled to the winning team.
Within the follow up for academic and behavior and in order to build good bond with our sponsored orphans, the OSP team made visits to several students in their schools during which a form was filled about the educational level and progress of the student.
In continuation of the weekly lessons of the orphans in all governorates, a cultural program was organized which includes several segments aiming to raise the moral and ethical side of the orphan and recognize positive thinking to build balanced character. Activities made based on program prepared in advance.
